My best friend got heather morris to speak spanish to me. You guys can all go home my best friend is the best
i think people forget that the internet isn’t necessarily the world, or the ‘outside’ fandom. i’m sure that heather morris truly does care about the fandom, and does like brittana (we’re the best couple, perfect for each other etc) but we also have to remember that the majority of the fandom also has brittana based on a headcanon. this whole belief that they’re this magical relationship that brittany helped santana to come out etc. that, unfortunately, did not actually happen.
heather morris, just like the rest of the “world”, sees brittana as two best friends who were “forced” together by the writers through fan request. she never wanted to be an actress, but because of the fandom, was given a real big opportunity one that i’m sure she loved at the beginning and was definitely not against. but, as others have stated, it’s probably tedious for her to do anything brittana related because of the sole naya/santana lopez focus. i don’t blame her for “siding” with bram (though a lot of that can be pushed out of context) because siding with bram does give her screentime, which is most actors and actresses want.
sure it’s annoying, and a little sad, to see brittana getting stunted and pushed to the side all the time, but there’s better ways in getting advocacy for the movement. at this point, the only words i can truly offer the fandom (as someone who was once in love with the fandom and really involved) is a ‘fuck you, glee’. don’t fall for ryan’s homophobic gestures, or allow it to mar you. there are plenty of other shows that have better advocacy and do not outwardly show their disdain towards the lesbian fandom (ryan’s tweets). don’t send any of the cast hate, because you only enforce this belief that the fandom is crazy and therefore “deserves” to have their ship destroyed. as stated by ryan that he does it purposely to spite those who send him “hate”.
i do still love the fandom, and the ship, but as far as ‘canon’ goes, it no longer really exists. kinda really ended when santana gave finn hudson a hug for outing her, ya know? best of luck to us all, i suppose.
